Can Scarlet Pixel help you
to become the next
.com millionaire?

Anyone who reads the newspapers cannot fail to have noticed regular features about new "net entrepreneurs" who have become overnight millionaires!

The everchanging world of the Internet offers amazing opportunities to any of us with a sense of adventure and some determination. Like the early 15th century sea voyagers who set sail from Europe, or the 19th century pioneers who set off west across the Plains in America - 21st century Internet adventurers face uncharted territories, a wealth of experiences - and the possibility of amazing rewards.

If you are setting up your own website? Colour WILL help. Use the wrong colour - and colour WILL hinder! Colour is as important as layout considerations or copy content. What is your message? Are you aiming to convey a tranquil theme? If so, use colours from the cooler end of the spectrum - blues and greens. Do you want to convey energy and excitement? For this effect, use colours from the warmer end of the spectrum - fizzy reds, yellows and oranges.

BUT be warned... overuse of any particular colour on your site will elicit the negative aspects of that colour - too much red for example, and the reader will feel edgy, over-stimulated, irritated - even angry. Probably not the effect you intended !

If you are aiming your message mainly at men, go for colours of a higher saturation - strong, bright colours to catch their eye. If you are aiming mainly at women, go for colours of a lower saturation - a far more appealing choice for most females.

You can learn from the experiences of Scarlet Pixel. When the Scarlet Pixel technicians were setting up the web site, they carefully inserted the vibrant colours that we wanted - only to discover that these beautiful colours turned sludgy and dull on some monitors and browsers and as a result, we have kept our site simple and functional in order that it displays correctly on almost all computers anywhere in the world. It can even be translated into several languages now... try it - it's great fun!

If you are planning a website of your own, during the development of your site, view your work on as many different monitors and browsers as you can and select your colours accordingly. Prevent your apple green turning mouldy! When you are ready to launch your site or company, if it is related to colour in any way, why not consider linking with us at Scarlet Pixel and get yourself featured on our 'Website links' page? This is a great way to attract extra traffic to your site and to get your ranking up in the search engines.
